Democracy and Power 101:  Government is power In order to get power and retain it, it is necessary to love power; but love of power is not connected with goodness but with qualities that are the opposite of goodness, such as pride, cunning, and cruelty. – Leo Tolstoy

Stopping ObamaCare and Big Labor in Ohio

On November 8th, Ohio voters will decide on two critical ballot initiatives, Issues 2 & 3, that have national implications for the Tea Party movement. If both measures pass it will be a huge victory in our efforts to stop ObamaCare and the corrupt influence of Big Labor.

We did it! We killed the CLASS Act, a key component of ObamaCare

We did it!  We took down CLASS! Today the White House officially pulled the plug on the CLASS Act, a key component of ObamaCare. This is a huge development in the health care debate.   CLASS -- a Great Society style home care entitlement authored by liberal lion Ted Kennedy -- was enacted in 2010 as part of ObamaCare. But CLASS was poorly designed and actuarially unsound, and represented a massive taxpayer bailout risk.

Report: HHS Suppressed Evidence of Massive ObamaCare Bailout Risk

A trove of just-released internal Obama Administration documents reveals that the President's top health care advisors were fully aware that a key component of ObamaCare presented a massive taxpayer bailout risk, but they chose to suppress the information in their frenzy to push the controversial legislation through Congress.

Will the Supreme Court Strike Down All of ObamaCare?

This week, a federal judge in Pennsylvania struck down the individual mandate -- the linchpin provision of the President's controversial health care law. So have other judges.  But this judge did something more: He struck down several parts of the law, not just the mandate.    Which revives the hope -- however slight -- that we might yet win a total victory in the courts.

82% of Americans Oppose Health Care Mandate

A new poll finds President Obama's health care mandate is so unpopular, it gets less respect than Rodney Dangerfield.  More than 8 in 10 people surveyed - 82 percent - say the federal government should not have the power to require Americans to buy health insurance.
