President Bush shared the stage with Secretary of Education Margaret Spelling and the principal of Faulkner Elementary School.

Senator Richard Burr, Congresswoman Virginia Foxx, state house member Laura Wiley, North Carolina Superintendent of Public Instruction June Atkinson and a large number of teachers from Faulkner Elementary school all attended.

After the event, as President Bush spoke with guests, Orange County FreedomWorks activist Roy Loflin got the opportunity to speak with the President.  Roy asked if President Bush would sign his hat.  President Bush signed the brim of the hat, noticed the FreedomWorks logo, and thanked Roy.
