The EPA’s New Water Rule Leaves the Economy High and Dry

When the Clean Water Act was first conceived, the EPA could only restrict entrepreneurs when they attempted to pollute bodies of water that were used by their fellow businesses, or what the EPA calls ‘navigable waters.’ However, its original mission is far too modest for modern-day bureaucrats.

FreedomWorks: What Ted Said!

Senator Ted Cruz took the Senate floor to demand the Department of Justice (DoJ) appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). If Attorney General Eric Holder fails to do so, Cruz maintained that he should be impeached for failing to enforce the law.

The Presidential Field For 2016

While we rightly focus on the 2014 primaries and upcoming midterm elections, let's take a break and look in on the field for the 2016 presidential race.

FreedomWorks PAC: Fearless as Ever

Our most recent round of endorsements has led some to accuse us of abandoning our bold, anti-establishment principles in favor of easy victories and low-risk candidates. It’s a baseless charge, which, as usual, displays an ignorance of how we operate and what we stand for.

Will The GOP's Short Attention Span Ruin The 2014 Midterms?

Fearing baldness, I long ago stopped scratching my head at the public moves of the Republican hierarchy. With Obamacare crumbling like a celebrity marriage all around them, the Democrats are so desperate that they're focusing on raising the minimum wage-a "feel good" bunch of nonsense that benefits an age demographic that isn't even old enough to vote for them. But they need people to talk about anything but Obamacare.

2013 Year In Review

Every year since college, my best friend Dan and I have submitted our best observations on a wide range of topics that reflect on the year that has just expired. We follow the well established template of The McLaughlin Group program. Here are my reflections on 2013:BIGGEST WINNER OF THE YEAR: I can't even think of one, as 2013 has seen so many failures that have hurt so many Americans. The only one I can think of is David Ortiz of the Red Sox, who emphatically reclaimed the City of Boston for Bostonians.

Texans Give Ted Cruz a Hero's Welcome

Senator Ted Cruz may be an outcast in Washington DC, and a thorn in the side of the Republican National Committee as well as GOP leadership, but at home he is a hero. This week citizens have been hosting rallies to welcome Senator Cruz back to the Lonestar state to publically applaud and thank him for his courageous stand against Obamacare and big government bureaucrats in both parties.

Ten Republicans Working to Fund Obamacare

With Sen. Ted Cruz fighting Obamacare this week “until he can’t stand,” it is a timely occasion to remember which Republicans have been working with Democrats to knock Sen. Cruz down. Rep. Sean Duffy (R-WI) The second-term former MTV star complained on Friday that he and his friends in the House had “kept a lid on our anger” at Sen. Cruz, explaining, “we were the punching bag and bullied by some of these Senate conservatives.”

Two Million Americans vs Washington, D.C.

A friend visited the emergency room recently to treat a severe infection in his leg. His doctor was unavailable so he was advised to go the local emergency room to receive treatment. After waiting the requisite several hours, my friend was visited by a nurse who, upon looking at his electronic medical chart, asked about a prescription for eye drops that had been filled at a pharmacy outside the hospital earlier in the day. What makes this story interesting is that the prescribing physician was located in another state and unaffiliated with the treating hospital.
