350 Citizens Rally for Parental Choice in South Carolina

Last night more than 350 citizens of Spartanburg, South Carolina rallied for parental choice in education. FreedomWorks joined the Spartanburg tea party for this fantastic event that drove a very clear message home: legislators should support parental choice in education or they will be replaced by the citizenry.

Call Senator Lamar Alexander to Stop the EPA Train Wreck!

Senator Rand Paul is trying to stand up to the EPA, and he needs OUR help.

Using the Congressional Review Act, Sen. Paul has introduced S.J. Res. 27, a 'resolution of disapproval' that would allow Congress to overturn the costly Cross State Air Pollution Rule, which is part of the EPA Train Wreck.  This costly new regulation will cost $2.4 billion annually and threatens to take 7 gigawatts of power off the power grid—enough to power 7 million homes.

Pennsylvania Senate Education Committee Passes SB1

The Pennsylvania state senate's education committee just passed SB1 - the school choice bill - by a bipartisan 9-2 vote. FreedomWorks has been running an aggressive campaign for school choice since the very first day of session and is excited to see that the bill is now well on its way to the full senate for an up or down vote on Wednesday, Oct. 26th.

FreedomWorks Thanks Governor Corbett for His Support of School Choice

While campaigning for governor in 2010, Tom Corbett promised to "improve education…by including more options like charter schools, school vouchers and increased use of the education improvement tax credit program."

Today, Gov. Corbett reiterated that commitment to educational freedom at a press conference in York.
