South Carolina FreedomWorks to Hold Press Conference, State Senate Visits to Advance School Choice Legislation H. 4894

WHAT: About 100 FreedomWorks activists from South Carolina will descend on the state capitol on Tuesday to put grassroots pressure on the state senate to pass school choice reform legislation, H. 4894. The education reform bill uses tax credits and deductions to empower families and business entrepreneurs to send students to schools that best meet the individual needs of each student.

FreedomWorks Hosts Webcast Interview with Florida Senator Marco Rubio

Washington, DC- FreedomWorks hosted a live-stream video interview with Senator Marco Rubio of Florida last Monday, which broadcasted live to FreedomWorks’ 1.5 million Facebook followers nationwide. Followers posted questions for the Senator to answer throughout the broadcast.

Senator Rubio started the interview thanking FreedomWorks for the help given to his during his Senate campaign, saying, “I was 30 points down- you guys were one of the few that believed in me, so I am grateful.”

Hundreds of calls to the state house and thousands of door hangers to hit key District neighborhoods over the weekend to “Vote YES on SB 2401”

Washington, DC- Next Tuesday, the Mississippi House Education Committee will vote on the Senate-passed Charter School Bill, SB 2401.  The legislation would allow for charter schools across the state, bringing dynamic curricula and much-needed reform to the failing Mississippi school system. FreedomWorks has identified six House legislators who are actively working to prevent education reform legislation from being sent to the Governor’s desk.
