Tell Your Representatives to Support the Budget Process Reform Package

Dear FreedomWorks member,

As one of our million-plus FreedomWorks members nationwide, I urge you to contact your representative and ask him or her support the budget process reform package introduced by members of the House Budget Committee. The comprehensive package of ten legislative reforms will strengthen spending controls, enhance accountability and increase transparency in the federal budget process.

Key Vote YES on Amendments to STOCK Act

Dear FreedomWorks member,

As one of our million-plus FreedomWorks members nationwide, I urge you to contact your senator and ask him or her to vote YES on two amendments to S.2038, the Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge (STOCK) Act. There are a large number of amendments and we have not had time to review them all because of the short time between their introduction and this vote. We suspect some senators face a similar challenge.

Tell your Senator to Cosponsor S. 1975, the No More IMF Bailouts Act

Dear FreedomWorks member,

As one of our million-plus FreedomWorks members nationwide, I urge you to contact your senator and ask him or her to cosponsor S. 1975, the “No More IMF Bailouts Act.” Introduced by Jim DeMint (R-SC), the bill would stop the International Monetary Fund (IMF) from using U.S. taxpayer dollars to bailout Eurozone nations like Greece and Italy. It would rescind a $108 billion line of credit to U.S. funds given to the IMF in 2009, force Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner to veto future IMF bailouts, and stop a proposed doubling of U.S. dues to the IMF.

Introduced by Rep. Geoff Davis (R-Ky.) along with 204 co-sponsors, this legislation requires a vote in Congress on any “major” regulations issued by the executive branch before it could be enforced on the American people.
