FreedomWorks Chairman Dick Armey, Presiden Matt Kibbe and half the campaigns department (the illustrius duo Brendan "Precinct Captain" Steinhauser and Dave "Phone Bank" Spielman) are in California this week. 

The team is out there to bring our new book Give Us Liberty: A Tea Party Manifesto and a giant dose of get out the vote and grassroots activism know-how to the Golden State.  If the pictures and updates we've received over the years from the hard core tea party tribe in Temecula is any indication, an awesome time will definitely be had by all.

Good news everyone - Congresswoman Michele Bachmann has joined the 8/27 FreedomWorks Take America Back Convention lineup!

Bachmann has been a stalwart defender of liberty and supporter of the tea party movement.  She is also a Contract with America signer and we're thrilled to have her join us on Friday. See below for Bachamann's speech on April 15 at the DC Tax Day Tea Party.

Due to the overwhelming response, we've managed to find a way to make more tickets available for the 8/27 FreedomWorks' Take America Back Convention.  These new $15 tickets do NOT include dinner, but you'll get to enjoy the convention, get a free t-shirt, and all the GOTV materials you could desire.  And there are lots of other great (but not free) dinner options available in the area as well.

Over the past ten years, enrollment in PA public schools has declined, while spending and staff have grown by leaps and bounds. According to the Commonwealth Foundation, taxpayers now spend an outrageous $14,420 per pupil each year, while at the same time student performance has stagnated. Test scores have barely changed and PA continues to rank near the bottom of the nation in combined SAT scores.

Refusing to bow to federal pressure to dismiss Virginia's health care reform lawsuit, a federal judge agreed that the lawsuit should move forward.  The lawsuit, championed by Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, challenges the constitutionality of the individual mandate in ObamaCare.

Big heads up: a cloture vote to move forward on the DISCLOSE Act is scheduled in the Senate tomorrow afternoon.

Click here to call your Senators and urge them to vote No on cloture to keep the DISCLOSE Act from becoming law.
