I Used It, It Worked!

I was skeptical at first, but then I tried it and my mind was blown! I started calling my friends, neighbors, family, and couldn't stop.

A Op-Ed in the Washington Times

Maybe we better talk out here; the observation lounge has turned into a swamp. Then maybe you should consider this: if anything happens to them, Starfleet is going to want a full investigation. Yes, absolutely, I do indeed concur, wholeheartedly! Smooth as an android's bottom, eh, Data? This is not about revenge. This is about justice. Sure. You'd be surprised how far a hug goes with Geordi, or Worf. Your shields were failing, sir. About four years. I got tired of hearing how young I looked. Congratulations - you just destroyed the Enterprise. Wait a minute - you've been declared dead. You can't give orders around here. Worf, It's better than music. It's jazz. Maybe if we felt any human loss as keenly as we feel one of those close to us, human history would be far less bloody.

Flat Tax vs. Fair Tax

The current U.S. tax system is huge convoluted mess. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has six federal income tax brackets ranging from 10 to 35 percent. Our so-called progressive tax system punishes the most productive members of society with a higher tax rate. The current tax system is riddled with loopholes and biases that hurt individuals who save money for the future. Not only does our tax code treat citizens differently but it is hopelessly complicated.

The "Audacity" of Tanya McDowell

This week, a homeless mother in Connecticut is being dragged into court and faces a possible jail sentence for sending her 6yr old son to a school that was not in her district (not that she had a district-she was homeless).

GE's Crony Capitalism: The Saga Continues

The other week, I blogged here about G.E.'s crony capitalism tactics that take advantage of tax code loopholes and other special treatment for big corporations by big government.  FreedomWorks has long been beating the drum against rent-seekers like GE and Duke Energy, so it was a little surprising that yesterday's  New York Times article, "G.E.'s Strategies Let It Avoid Taxes Altogether,"
