Fugitive may have worked in Mobile restaurant

MOBILE, Ala. — A waiter at a popular Mobile restaurant is believed to be a fugitive wanted for murder and attempted murder in Nevada.

FBI agents and Mobile police say they believe the fugitive Christopher Alan Fiegehen, 23, featured Saturday night on the television show “America’s Most Wanted,” worked at the Spot of Tea Restaurant in Mobile for about 10 days using the name Jack Jackson.

Tony Moore, owner of the restaurant, described the man as “charming” and “well-mannered.”

The man’s last day at work was Friday, the day before Fiegehen was featured on the television show that profiles fugitive criminals.

The suspect, of Carson City, Nev., allegedly shot his ex-girlfriend’s mother and fatally stabbed her stepfather on Feb. 10 at their home in the Lake Tahoe area, according to the FBI.

Andress enters race for state treasurer

The former executive director of the Alabama Republican Party, Twinkle Andress, is running for state treasurer.

Andress, 36, announced Monday she will be on the ballot in the treasurer’s race in the June 4 Republican Primary.

“We need conservative leadership in the treasurer’s office to manage the money the taxpayers send to Montgomery,” Andress said. “I want to serve the people of Alabama and not the large banks.”

Andress resigned last week as state director of Citizens for a Sound Economy, a nonprofit organization which promotes lower taxes and less government. Andress was director of constituent affairs for Republican U.S. Rep. Sonny Callahan of Mobile.
