WHEN: Wednesday December 1, 2010 from 2-6 PM Eastern. The event will run from 2-4 PM, followed by a reception from 4-6 PM. Both events are open to the press, and cameras are welcome.

WHY: For the first time in RNC history, an outside organization will have direct access to potential party leadership to ask the tough policy questions that will determine the future of the Republican Party. Following a sweeping victory for fiscal conservatives in the mid-term elections, this unprecedented opportunity is further evidence of the tea party movement’s takeover of the Republican Party, and its tremendous impact on politics nationwide.

The Take America Back in 2010 Campaign, described as a “hostile takeover of the GOP” by FreedomWorks President Matt Kibbe, began with the ejection of corrupt, washed-up establishment Republicans from positions in the House and Senate. Phase two involved the mobilization of grassroots activists across America to win back a Republican Congressional majority by electing candidates committed to an agenda of limited government and fiscal responsibility.

FreedomWorks believes that the next logical step in the “hostile takeover” is to select Republican leadership sympathetic to the tea party tenets of limited government and more individual freedom. Moving forward, working through the RNC will go a long way in helping conservatives write the agenda for the 2012 Presidential Election.

Since 1984, FreedomWorks has been dedicated to the belief that grassroots power, armed with the principles and good ideas of freedom, is the only effective check against a burgeoning government. FreedomWorks seeks to support and maximize -not control- the efforts of those citizens who are committed to the ideals of lower taxes, less government, and more freedom. Our aim is to act as a service center, a resource to those who want to have a true impact on the leadership and direction of the Republican Party in 2011 and beyond. We hope to see you this Wednesday!
