The current federal regulatory regime is badly outdated and reduces competition, investment, and innovation in telecommunications and video services. As a result, consumers are left at the mercy of a handful of companies that constantly raise their prices with little incentive to offer better service. Nowhere is this truer than in the area of cable television.

Fortunately some good ideas have been put forward and legislation moving in Congress right now could inject more competition into this industry and pave the way for exciting new technological developments.

Rep. Jay Inslee and other members of Washington State’s Congressional want to hear from you on this issue and have helped to organize this congressional hearing. Take this opportunity to let them know why this is a critical issue for Washington. Tell them that you want to be able to “choose your cable” and reap the benefits of competition: more choices…better service… lower prices!
