Fostering Climate Change In Kansas:

“Over the past 30 years, Kansas has been transformed from a moderately low tax state to a state where higher taxes and spending threaten future economic growth. This significant change in the tax climate has created an adverse business climate that hampers entrepreneurship and reduces the well-being of every taxpayer.”

This report is an examination of the exurbanite amount of spending done by the Kansas Legislature. Taking a glance at the figures shows that since 1990 spending has increased by 146 percent. The proposed solution for this ballooning problem is TABOR or Taxpayer Bill of Rights. If TABOR had been enacted in 1993 then it “would have cumulatively saved the taxpayers of Kansas well over $6.7 billion.”
