When the Republican Study Committee unveiled its balanced version of the budget on Capitol Hill on March 8, 2006, over 65 FreedomWorks grassroots activists from Michigan, North Carolina, Texas, Georgia, and Wisconsin took part in the rally. The RSC budget is a specific plan for Congress to cut unnecessary spending and bring entitlement growth under control. They then lobbied their elected officials on a range of issues.
