FreedomWorks On the Ground in New Hampshire

New Hampshire state capitol building in Concord

FreedomWorks visited with the staff of New Hampshire senators Judd Gregg and John Sununu in Concord and Nashua this past week. Both offices were receptive to the message of lower taxes, less government and more freedom. We talked specifically about energy policy, including the $16 billion tax proposal in the House energy bill, increasing domestic energy production and rejecting CAFE mandates. We also talked about rejecting cap and trade and carbon tax schemes.

FreedomWorks Congressional Action Team leaders met in Manchester, Concord and Nashua to discuss energy policy, taxes, social security and the 2008 presidential race. We visited with the staff of the following campaigns: Mitt Romney, Rudy Giuliani, Chris Dodd, John McCain, Barack Obama, Sam Brownback, Tom Tancredo and Ron Paul. FreedomWorks activists dropped off the 2008 presidential candidate survey to the campaigns and asked them to fill out this most comprehensive economic freedom survey.

We also met with the president of the Josiah Bartlett Center and members of the Free State Project, to talk about closer coordination between the various conservative and libertarian groups in New Hampshire.
