FreedomWorks Foundation Hand Delivers Comments on HHS Price Controls Rule

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In opposition to the proposed rule by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), over 5,600 FreedomWorks grassroots activists signed on to our formal comment that was hand-delivered today to the Department of Health and Human Services in Washington, D.C.

Daniel Savickas, FreedomWorks Foundation’s Federal Affairs Manager, commented:

“FreedomWorks’ grassroots activists are committed to keeping socialist-style price controls out of the United States’ market for prescription drugs. In recent weeks, over 5,600 FreedomWorks activists signed on to our formal comment in opposition to HHS’ proposed rule. Price controls on prescription drugs would lead to reduced innovation and the development of fewer groundbreaking pharmaceutical drugs. The rising cost of prescription drugs in the United States is a major problem, but government mandated price controls are not the answer and will only harm American consumers and pharmaceutical manufacturers.”
