Youth Bail on Obama While Misery Index Increases

President Obama continues to lose the youth’s support-and fast. Just a few months ago, Harvard released a poll showing that 57% of Millennials disapproved of ObamaCare. That same poll showed that 54% of Americans from ages 18-29 disapproved of Obama, while only 41% approved. These statistics aren’t all that surprising, as Obama has made things extremely hard for the average millennial in his first 5 years. Student loan debt, job availability, ObamaCare and the overall national debt have crippled America’s youth.

Latest Obama Approval Ratings Spelling Trouble for Democrats in 2014

In 2008 and 2012, Senator and President Obama was the solution for Democrat victories across the country. Minorities stood by his side, the youth stood by his side and most importantly, moderates were sticking by his side.

School Choice is a Winning Issue

Demographics matter, and after the disappointing 2012 election results, the GOP has decided it may be a good idea to focus on growing the party by reaching out to the youth and minority communities.  Ignoring certain demographics will continue to hurt the party, as will ignoring key issues.  Just like during the 2012 campaign cycle, the GOP is leaving out a key issue that could not only grow the party, but more importantly, could help millions of children receive a better education. I'm referring to school choice.

Obamacare's Negative Impact on Young People

In the past few weeks, the debate over Obamacare has been dominating the news, and has become one of the most, if not the most heated topics in the nation. Debate will continue, especially as people try to shop for coverage during its rocky launch. But there is one thing that should need no more debate - Obamacare will hurt young people.

How to Take a Stand Against Classroom Bullying and Bias

As students of all ages go back to school, we need to address a very important issue. This issue is one I brought up this past March; bias and bullying in the classroom. In the course of the past few weeks, we have seen this issue reemerging in the national media. Teachers on both ends of the political spectrum are guilty of bias, and sometimes bullying, and it needs to end.

Thanks to Protestors, It's a Mess Inside the Wisconsin Capitol

Public sector unions in Wisconsin are faltering thanks to Governor Walker’s bold and courageous reforms, but the pro-union protestors are still making trouble in the great state.

Merit Pay for Teachers: A Good Idea in a Flawed Education System

Since I began researching politics, I have been a strong supporter of the merit pay system for teachers. Not only have I supported it, but I’ve defended it and fought for it. Unfortunately as school ended last month, I began to see what I believe may be a major flaw in the idea. On the surface it sounds as if it makes sense; pay teachers on a merit system based on their performance. But as is often the case, real life may have uncovered a glitch, and I believe there’s a possibility it may not work in our public schools as they are structured now. Here’s why:

For the Youth, It is Time to Focus on the Fiscal Issues

There is no doubt fiscal conservatism and social conservatism go hand in hand. I, myself am a fiscal and social conservative, but social conservatism is not the focus for many under the age of 30.
