Senator Shaheen’s Bipartisan Flop

Senator Jeanne Shaheen is proud of her “bipartisan” roots, because, after all, anything crafted in a bipartisan effort has to be a great deal for the nation. Every chance Ms. Shaheen gets, she likes to remind voters that “I have taken my bipartisanship to Washington with me. I have learned that the way to get things done is to work across the aisle.” However it is hard to expect something truly compromising and honestly bipartisan from a senator like Ms. Shaheen who, according to the Washington Post, has voted 97% of the time with Senator Harry Reid, and for President Obama’s bad policies.

Why is the Chamber Endorsing Democrats?

Most businesses offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee on their goods or services. We have heard about it all time, most of us even taken advantage of this offer from time to time. In light of this, it would be interesting to ask whether the U.S. Chamber of Commerce offers the same level of guarantee to their members that the rest of us get from them. Because if they do, it is about time their members start asking for their money back.

Candidate Mark Begich’s “Priorities” vs. Senator Begich’s actions

Senator Mark Begich likes to claim to be “Independent as Alaska,” someone who puts the needs of his state ahead of partisan loyalty. Someone whose job it is to fight for what is best for Alaska, even if puts him at odds with his own party. However, the Begich Washington, D.C. sees is hardly the independent candidate Begich is trying to project back home. Let’s take a look at some of the ways candidate Begich and Begich differ.

Hagan hides from Obama

Senator Kay Hagan is trying to prove she can be tough on the president, (although voting with the president’s agenda 92% of the time makes it hard to believe) by issuing a harsh statement about his commitment to and treatment of veterans. Senator Hagan released a statement minutes after it was announced that President Obama was going to speak at the American Legion’s 96th National Convention. The senator states, “I hope to hear the president address these challenges at the American Legion’s National Convention in Charlotte. I will be there to discuss some of the steps I want to see taken in Washington to uphold the commitment our government has made to North Carolina’s veterans.” She goes on to brag she is Member of the Armed Services Committee and that she “comes from a strong military family.”

America, The Land of Opportunity….Costs

Americans are suckers for a clever slogan, whether it is Burger King’s “Have it your way” or Walmart’s “Save Money, Live Better.” Americans for generations have bought into these slogans. Even America herself has a slogan advertising, at home and around the world, “The American Dream, the land of opportunity.” Most people are aware of America’s slogan; and many were raised by generations that heartily agreed with its promise. However, as we stand as a nation in 2014, the brand is in question.

Mark Udall wants feds to get YOU in shape!

A lot of important things were happening in 2008. Banks were failing, jobs were being lost, and our economy was about to be pushed off a cliff. The problems our country faced in 2008 were grave, and have had lasting consequences even to this day. Luckily, while voters, politicians, and pundits wasted their time trying to select new leaders of government to tackle these problems, then-Congressman Mark Udall saw something different. In the midst of economy downturn, Congressman Udall and his taxpayer-funded congressional staff felt the best use of their time and resources was to write a bill to get Americans to stand up and actually do something! Literally, something—anything actually that made a person sweat. And they wanted the government to design a program and devote resources promoting it.

Senator Mark Pryor’s liberal idea of what Faith, Responsibility and Security really mean

Faith, responsibility, and security are the three words Senator Mark Pryor uses to introduce himself to voters of Arkansas and serve as his cornerstone for why he should be reelected for another term. However, if these are the words Senator Pryor uses to guide himself in the Senate, we suggest he take a hard look at what those words actually mean.
