NC Activist Meeting

On Monday evening, I was delighted to be invited to join the Wayne County, NC GOP for their monthly meeting. Wayne County, NC GOP President and FreedomWorks Super Activist, Ann Sullivan led the meeting. In addition to a room full of activists, the meeting was attended by two county commissioners and a school board member. Ann had asked me to come to the meeting to share information about our exciting 9-12 Activist Summit.

FreedomWorks Hosts Statewide Tea Party and Liberty Group Meeting In North Carolina

On Saturday, August 22, tea party and liberty group leaders from across North Carolina joined FreedomWorks for fellowship and information. The packed room included over 40 activists from the far regions of the state. Outer Banks Tea Party Chairwoman, Mattie Lawson drove five hours to be with us! Activists shared information about their organizations and the important work they are doing. I was happy to share information about the FreedomWorks upcoming 9-12 Activist Summit to be held in Kissimmee, Florida and information about the important issues FreedomWorks is currently working on.

FreedomWorks At Stokes Tea

Stokes Tea met in King, NC on Thursday, August 20. Allen Page and I were delighted to be able to join them! Members gathered at Lil Italy Pizza for an evening of fellowship and information. Stokes Tea leader, Ramona Timm led the meeting. I spoke to the group about Justice Reform. There was a rousing discussion and a number of interesting questions.

South Carolina Activist Meetup

Super activists from the South Carolina Low Country gathered for an evening of information sharing and FreedomWorks issue and event updates on Monday, August 3. I shared information on our Justice Reform project. Activists were extremely concerned to learn that regarding civil asset forfeiture, South Carolina has one of the lowest grades in the nation! Allen Page updated the group about our upcoming exciting 9-12 Activist Summit. Meeting attendees represented a number of tea party and liberty groups. They shared information about the direction of their groups and how FreedomWorks can assist them in pursuit of "Lower Taxes, Less Government, and More Freedom!"

Grassroots Spotlight: Civil Rights Activist Clarence Henderson

Clarence Henderson is a FreedomWorks activist who participated in the Woolworth Sit-In in Greensboro, N.C. in 1960 and is a United States Army Veteran and retired entrepreneur. I was pleased to be able to sit down with him and talk about his experiences and views on empowerment.

CL Speaks to Supporters at NC Conventions

On April 25, FreedomWorks joined the republicans of North Carolina's 13th Congressional District at their District Convention held at the Hephzibah Baptist Church in Wendell, NC. FreedomWorks activist Garry Terry from Bertie County hosted a FreedomWorks information table. FreedomWorks Fellow, filmmaker, and radio and television host, Reverend C.L. Bryant was the special guest speaker and brought the room of over 250 delegates to their feet!

Millenial Meet and Greet - Durham, NC

Liberty Activists Meet in NC

FreedomWorks sponsored a gathering of Liberty First, a liberty minded group of activists in Wake County, NC on March 28. The event was held at Carolina Barbeque in Garner, NC and featured Deneen and Tom Borelli as speakers. Speakers spoke at a podium flanked by the American flag and the Gasden flag. Local activist and Liberty First member Sam Davis moderated the event. Dr. Greg Brannon, former candidate for United States Senate, welcomed the crowd and spoke of our inalienable rights. After the dinner event, Deneen hosted a book signing.

ObamaCare Protest at NC Senator's Office

On Thursday, August 7, 32 North Carolina FreedomWorks activists gathered in Greensboro. Over 35 activists from 8 counties enjoyed good food and great conversation while writing letters to Senator Kay Hagan and making protest signs about ObamaCare. Activists then traveled to Senator Hagan's main office in Greensboro to meet with staff and host a protest out front on the busy street.
