On behalf of our activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and ask him or her to cosponsor the amendment to the United States Constitution to limit the number of terms Members of the House and Senate can serve, H.J.Res. 12, introduced by Rep. Ralph Norman (R-S.C.). The amendment already has an impressive list of 21 cosponsors.
Today, FreedomWorks Foundation submitted a formal comment opposing a proposed rule by the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) regarding cryptocurrency. The proposed rule would require banks and other organizations to identify, and keep records of, all individuals who use either hosted or unhosted cryptocurrency wallets.
Shortly after Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) dropped out of the race for the Democratic presidential nomination in April 2020, and endorsed the presumptive nominee, former Vice President Joe Biden, Biden and Sanders announced the formation of a “unity task force” to bridge the divide between the Democratic Party establishment and the so-called “progressives” in the party ahead of the 2020 presidential election.
Anyone who watched TV in the 1990s saw those annoying commercials featuring Matthew Lesko. This is the clown who wore suits with question marks all over them as he tried to sell his books telling people how to get “free” money from the federal government. I couldn’t stand the guy, not only because his commercials were annoying but also because he was teaching people how to siphon money from the federal government when we needed to shrink it.
On behalf of FreedomWorks’ activist community, I urge you to contact your senators and ask them to vote NO on the Caring for Americans with Supplemental Help (CASH) Act, H.R. 9051. The CASH Act would amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to increase the direct payments included in the COVID-19 relief provisions of the recently passed Consolidated Appropriations Act from $600 to $2,000.
