Florida CSE Educates Dade County Republican Executive Committee on the Medicare and Prescription Drug Coverage Debate

“Slade, this is an awesome presentation. Just wonderful! Are you guys doing this all over the state? This is exactly the information that needs to get out. Thank you so much.” – Brett Doster, Political Director for Texas Gov. George W. Bush

Dade County, FL – Florida Citizens for a Sound Economy (FL CSE) took to the road once again to educate citizens on the issue of Medicare and prescription drugs. In front of a packed banquet room, FL CSE Director Slade O’Brien spoke to the Dade County Republican Executive Committee (REC). With more than 125 in attendance, O’Brien delivered the message that Al Gore’s empty promises are not the prescription America’s seniors need.

FL CSE distributed Medicare and prescription drug coverage educational material (which included: CSE’s Medicare farecard, “What is Washington Doing with your Medicare” educational booklet, Medicare yard signs, and T-shirts) to the attendees.

O’Brien then delivered FL CSE’s Medicare and prescription drug presentation. The presentation went into more detail about Medicare, and compared the two Medicare proposals submitted by Texas Gov. George W. Bush and Vice President Al Gore.

Immediately following the event, several REC Members approached FL CSE to request materials in Spanish to distribute to voters throughout Dade County. They also requested additional yard signs and t-shirts to pass out to family, friends, and colleagues.
