FreedomWorks Activists Visit Rep. Rouzer’s Johnston County District Office and Urge Him to Say No to Socialist Drug Price Controls

WASHINGTON, D.C. — FreedomWorks grassroots activists today paid a visit to Rep. David Rouzer’s (R-N.C.) Johnston County district office and made their case for why Congress must oppose socialized healthcare and in particular, price controls on prescription drugs. Over a dozen FreedomWorks grassroots activists from North Carolina’s seventh congressional district were in attendance and spoke with Rep. Rouzer’s district staff.

Kathy Hartkopf, FreedomWorks’ Southeast Regional Grassroots Coordinator, commented:

“Government goes to those who show up, and that’s exactly why FreedomWorks’ outstanding grassroots activists are here and involved. Our grassroots activists whole-heartedly oppose Nancy Pelosi’s health care plan – which includes socialized price controls on prescription drugs. Instead of lowering costs, price controls on prescription drugs will lead to shortages and the development of fewer lifesaving cures. FreedomWorks activists are proud to continue the fight against government involvement in American’s health care, and we hope that Rep. Rouzer will do the same and oppose price controls back in Washington.”
