Following the passage of civil asset forfeiture reform (HB 347) in the Ohio House of Representatives, FreedomWorks CEO Adam Brandon commented:
"This is a great day for the rights to private property and due process in my home state of Ohio. We'd like to thank state Reps. Rob McColley, who spoke to 150 of our activists about forfeiture reform in Columbus on Saturday, and Thomas Brinkman for their leadership on this issue. We hope senators improve the protections in this bill and move it quickly through the chamber."
FreedomWorks aims to educate, build, and mobilize the largest network of activists advocating the principles of smaller government, lower taxes, free markets, personal liberty and the rule of law. For more information, please visit www.FreedomWorks.org or contact Jason Pye at JPye@FreedomWorks.org.
