FreedomWorks Launches “Pay Your Fair Share First” Campaign in Advance of Tax Day 2019

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In light of comments from billionaires such as Warren Buffett, Howard Shultz, and Bill Gates, that wealthy American such as themselves should pay higher taxes, FreedomWorks has launched its “Pay Your Fair Share First” campaign that streamlines the process for contributing gifts to the federal government. FreedomWorks President Adam Brandon commented:

“Liberal billionaires love to lecture us about how they should be paying higher taxes, but when Tax Day rolls around, you’d be hard pressed to see them ‘put their money where their mouth is.’ No American should pay higher taxes, but if liberal billionaires insist, we’ve made it easier for them to ‘pay their fair share first.’”

FreedomWorks encourages wealthy billionaires that wish to pay more in taxes to announce publicly whether they will contribute more than their “fair share” this Tax Day, April 15, 2019. In the next two weeks, FreedomWorks will host several Facebook live streams to discuss the impact that higher marginal tax rates and wasteful deficit spending have on the American economy, and will be driving actions on social media in support of the campaign.
