FreedomWorks Launches National Tour in Support of the House Freedom Caucus

Today, FreedomWorks hosted the first in a series of events to promote members of the House Freedom Caucus, a group of about 40 fiscally conservative and liberty-minded Members from across the country. The tour kicked off on Monday, October 12 with an event in Rock Hill, South Carolina with Rep. Mick Mulvaney (R-SC-5).

FreedomWorks CEO Adam Brandon commented:

“The members of the House Freedom Caucus are the conscience of the Republican conference. They’re keeping Republican leaders accountable for their actions and shaking up the status quo. The House Freedom Caucus has put forward a bold notion, which is that House Republicans actually do what they say they’re going to do, such as balancing the budget, opening up the legislative process, and putting forward a pro-growth economic agenda that reins in burdensome regulations promulgated by the Obama administration.”

“We’re in the middle of a battle for the heart and soul of the Republican Party. The House Freedom Caucus has made it clear that they stand with the grassroots, the very people who worked so hard to put Republicans in power. FreedomWorks and our community are proud to stand with them.”

FreedomWorks will host events in 17 House districts – including the districts of Reps. Dave Brat (VA-08), Thomas Massie (KY-04), Tim Huelskamp (KS-01), and Jim Jordan (OH-04) – in October and November. More details, including dates and locations, will be released prior to the in-district events.

FreedomWorks aims to educate, build, and mobilize the largest network of activists advocating the principles of smaller government, lower taxes, free markets, personal liberty, and the rule of law. For more information, please visit www.FreedomWorks.org or contact Jason Pye at JPye@FreedomWorks.org.
