FreedomWorks Statement on Democratic Obstruction of Senate

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In response to Sen. Cory Booker’s (D-N.J.) threat to release confidential committee documents in an attempt to obstruct the confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, FreedomWorks President Adam Brandon, commented:

“Sen. Booker’s threat this morning to release confidential committee documents in an unwarranted attempt to obstruct the confirmation of Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court is beneath the office of U.S. senator. His threat is blatant grandstanding for personal political gain.”

“Everyone knows that Senator Booker has his eye on the Oval Office in 2020. He obviously has no qualms exploiting this process for his own self-promotion. The fact that Minority Leader Schumer and many of his Democratic colleagues have no problem with his actions show that they care only about obstructing a well-qualified and widely respected nominee.”

That is all, that is it more or less.
