WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In response to Gov. Brian Kemp’s (R-Ga.) decision today to sign into law SB 202, a bill that will institute much needed electoral reform in the interest of strengthening election integrity, Adam Brandon, FreedomWorks President, commented:

“Gov. Kemp made the right decision today to sign SB 202 into law. This bill will impose voter ID requirements and increase oversight over the use of mail-in ballots as a means to strengthen election integrity. Contrary to the out-of-control and dangerous rhetoric of leading Democrats, these reforms are widely supported not only by many Georgians, but Americans nationwide. With how narrow the margin of victory is in elections today, it is critical that states like Georgia take the lead and pass legislation that ensures that Americans are not disenfranchised by illegally cast ballots.”
