FreedomWorks Urges Congress to Pass the Pandemic Healthcare Access Act, H.R. 6338 and S. 3546

WASHINGTON, D.C. — As part of our ongoing effort to advance healthcare freedom, Sarah Anderson, FreedomWorks’ Director of Policy, hosted a series of online interviews with elected officials and health policy experts on the need for Congress to expand health savings accounts. Links to the online interviews with H.R. 6338 sponsors Reps. Ted Budd (R-N.C.) and Chip Roy (R-Texas) and Americans for Prosperity’s Dean Clancy are here and here.

Sarah Anderson, FreedomWorks’ Director of Policy, commented:

“Amidst the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, there is no more appropriate time than now to give Americans control over their own healthcare dollars. Expanding access to health savings accounts gives people, not politicians and unelected bureaucrats, say over where, when, how, and why their dollars are spent.

“We’re grateful to Reps. Budd and Roy as well as Sen. Cruz for introducing the Pandemic Healthcare Access Act, which Congress must swiftly pass.

“In addition to restoring healthcare decisions to the people they belong to, this commonsense reform bill would inject much-needed competition into America’s healthcare marketplace, increasing transparency and quality, while simultaneously lowering the overall cost of healthcare over time.”
