WASHINGTON, DC - Amidst the series of recent proposed media mergers, FreedomWorks encourages the FCC to approve the T-Mobile/Sprint merger. FreedomWorks has continuously advocated non-intervention on similar mergers.
FreedomWorks Director of Policy, Patrick Hedger, commented:
"We're confident the majority at the FCC, Chairman Pai and Commissioners O'Rielly and Carr, understand the need for consolidation and adaptation in response to rapidly evolving markets and technology. A long list of companies stagnated by government restrictions is not the way to ensure competition benefits consumers. Federal regulators must instead focus on the quality of competition. This merger will make the new T-Mobile a very strong competitor in the broadband market."
