Key Vote NO on the Nomination of Tracy Stone Manning to the Bureau of Land Management

On behalf of FreedomWorks’ activist community, I urge you to contact your senators and ask them to vote NO on the nomination of Tracy Stone Manning to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).

The BLM is an enormously powerful agency that manages millions of acres of federal land. For President Joe Biden to nominate someone with as checkered a past as Tracy Stone Manning is alarming.

In 1989, Tracy Stone Manning testified in front of a grand jury, and again in a criminal trial in 1993, about her involvement in a tree spiking incident. Tree spiking is in fact defined as eco-terrorism and can inflict serious bodily harm.

Her collaboration with eco-terrorists is only one example of her personal history of environmental radicalism.

Stone-Manning’s past statements from her graduate theses are disqualifying. “The origin of our abuses is us. If there were fewer of us, we would have less impact,” and “We must consume less, and more importantly, we must breed fewer consuming humans” are but a few examples of her radical, anti-human viewpoints.

FreedomWorks will count the vote for Tracy Stone Manning’s confirmation on our 2021 Congressional Scorecard and reserve the right to score any amendments, motions, or other related votes. The scorecard is used to determine eligibility for the FreedomFighter Award, which recognizes Members of the House and Senate who consistently vote to support economic freedom and individual liberty.

Sincerely,

Adam Brandon,
President, FreedomWorks
