On behalf of our activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and ask him or her to vote NO on House Democrats’ new Heroes Act 2.0, the H.Amdt. to the S.Amdt. to H.R. 925. The vote on the Heroes Act 2.0 comes at a time when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) have refused to negotiate in good-faith with the White House on another COVID-19 relief package. Although Pelosi and Schumer have lowered their top-line price tag for another COVID-19 relief package to $2.2 trillion from $3.5 trillion, the $2.2 trillion demand is still nearly $1 trillion higher than what President Trump will sign.

On behalf of FreedomWorks activists nationwide, I urge you to contact your senators and ask them to vote in the manner prescribed for each amendment below to the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021, S. 4049, should these amendments be allowed votes. FreedomWorks may count the votes on the amendments for purposes of our 2020 Congressional Scorecard and, as is always the case, reserves the right to score any other amendments not listed below that are brought to the floor for votes, as well as related procedural or other votes.

On behalf of FreedomWorks’ activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and ask him or her to vote against waiving budgetary points of order on the Great American Outdoors Act. Originally, FreedomWorks had planned to score in support of amendments offered by Sen. Mike Enzi (R-Wyo.) and Sen. Mike Braun (R-Ind.). The Enzi amendment would have offset the costs of the deferred maintenance backlog provisions of the Great Americans Outdoors Act and the Braun amendment would have prevented unrelated spending increases in the future.

On behalf of our activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and ask him or her to vote NO on the Health and Economic Recovery Omnibus Emergency Solutions (HEROES) Act, H.R. 6800. The HEROES Act is a $3 trillion, 1,800-page partisan messaging bill that has no chance of becoming law. Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) knows that this bill won’t become law. Yet, she is forcing the House to vote as a political stunt, after refusing to bring the House back into session last week due to concerns of containing the spread of COVID-19. This is blatant hypocrisy at its worst.

On behalf of FreedomWorks’ activist community, I urge you to contact your senators and ask them to vote NO on the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, H.R. 6201. This bill, the final version of which was pushed through the House mere minutes after the backroom “deal” was announced to members, costs tens of billions of dollars and creates mandates on private business, the effects of which would last far beyond the scope of the coronavirus pandemic.

On behalf of FreedomWorks’ activist community, I urge you to contact your senators and ask them to vote YES on Senator Rand Paul’s (R-Ky.) amendment to the Coronavirus emergency spending package, H.R. 6074. The amendment would simply rescind unobligated funds for several international outreach and foreign aid programs that have been flagged in the past for being unnecessary and wasting taxpayer dollars, and apply those funds to offset the cost of emergency spending to combat the coronavirus domestically.

On behalf of FreedomWorks’ activist community, I urge you to contact your senators and ask them to vote NO on the Borrower Defense Institutional Accountability Rule CRA Resolution, H.J.Res. 76, to roll back a Department of Education rule related to higher education. This Democrat-only Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution would undo updated borrower defense regulations that will be a marked improvement over the existing set of regulations that were issued under President Obama.
