FreedomWorks is excited to announce that our bill of the month for August 2021 is a Resolution Denouncing the Horrors of Socialism, H.Res. 548. Introduced by Rep. Maria Salazar (R-Fla.), the resolution outlines the history of socialism as a failed ideology that has resulted in the deaths of over 100 million people worldwide.

On behalf of FreedomWorks’ activist community, I urge you to contact your senators and ask them to cosponsor the Verified Innovative Testing in American Laboratories (VITAL) Act, S. 1666, introduced by Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.). This bill clarifies that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has no regulatory authority over lab-developed testing procedures during a public health emergency or any other time.

On behalf of FreedomWorks’ activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and senators and ask them to cosponsor the Processing Revival and Intrastate Meat Exemption (PRIME) Act, H.R. 3835 and S. 2001, introduced in the House by Reps. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and Chellie Pingree (D-Maine) and in the Senate by Sens. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Angus King (I-Maine). The PRIME Act would directly help address currently-breaking meat supply chains.

On behalf of FreedomWorks’ activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and senators and ask them to cosponsor the Support Children Having Open Opportunities for Learning (SCHOOL) Act, H.R. 1770 and S. 665, if they haven’t already done so. Introduced by Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) and Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) the SCHOOL Act would grant American families more choice in how their children are educated both during the COVID-19 pandemic and long after schools return to normal.

On behalf of FreedomWorks’ activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and ask him or her to cosponsor the Regulations from the Executive in Need of Scrutiny (REINS) Act, H.R. 1776, if they haven’t already done so. Introduced by Rep. Kat Cammack (R-Fla.) as a companion to Sen. Rand Paul’s (R-Ky.) S. 68 in the Senate, the REINS Act would reaffirm the legislative branch’s Article I constitutional authority by requiring that economically significant rules be approved through a joint resolution of Congress before they are allowed to take effect.

On behalf of FreedomWorks’ activist community, I urge you to contact your senators and urge them to cosponsor the Federal Reserve Transparency Act, S. 573. Introduced by Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), the Federal Reserve Transparency Act would require a full audit of the Federal Reserve by the Government Accountability Office.

FreedomWorks is proud to announce that our bill of the month for October 2020 is the National Patient Identifier Repeal Act, S. 2538, introduced by Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.). The National Patient Identifier Repeal Act seeks to repeal a dangerous section of the law that could require the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to create a national patient ID system. Such a system would present an unprecedented threat to patient security and privacy across the country.
