After President Trump took up the fight to fix the federal justice system, state leaders finally had the leverage they needed to bring conservative justice reform to their own states. Since the First Step Act was signed into law, dozens of states across the country passed major reforms that brought sanity back to their justice systems. But not all of them got across the finish line, and they still face huge opposition from special interests determined to protect the status quo. Jenna Moll of U.S. Justice Action Network joins us to show how far the states have come, and how far they still have to go.
