Universal Health Care

On Wednesday morning, May 4th, FreedomWorks-Vt coordinator for Franklin County, Linda Kirker debated Jennifer Henry, R.N. who represented FTA and the nursing association. They appeared on WWSR AM 1420 ‘s “Comment Show” hosted by Paul Beaudry. Many folks called in with comments and questions on a hot topic facing Vermonters right now concerning a single payer health care system.

Linda Kirker, who is a retired state legislator and retired R.N. found it interesting that Jennifer and a nursing association would support an approach to health care that has been so unsuccessful in Canada and Europe. Canada has experienced an exodus of physicians and nurses to the point where 1.4 million Canadians have no physician.

Look for Linda and Jennifer on Adelphia Cable TV (Channel 15, St. Albans) this coming Tuesday, May 10th at 7:00 p.m. Call in with your questions on H.524, the Universal Health Care bill now in the Senate.
