Though a far cry from ending capitalism, as protestors on the streets of Washington, D.C. espoused Monday during their attempt to shut down the city in the name of climate change, Congress is eyeing an expansion of market manipulation by further subsidizing electric vehicles.

Lots of climate news over the past few days, and none of it is good if you're a global warming hysteric who wants to control our overall use of energy. Last week, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climage Change (IPCC) released its Fifth Assessment Report on Climate Change, stating that it is 95% certain that humans are causing  global warming.

In a speech Tuesday at Georgetown University, President Obama laid out his case for immediate action on global warming climate change, announcing a broad new climate action plan.

Beneath the surface of a Cap and Tax debate that has only just begun to rage in this country, a basic premise is largely being taken for granted. Prominent fixtures of the political class, from Al Gore to Newt Gingrich to John McCain, have accepted and declared as fact that the Earth is getting warmer, the icecaps are getting smaller, carbon is to blame, and only government can save the day.

The UN is meeting in Bali this week. Can anyone say pina coladas and sunbathing?!
