Last month, Gov. Dannel Malloy (D-Conn.) announced that he will not seek, and he will not accept, the nomination of his party for another term as governor. This is not all that surprising as he sits at at a 66 percent disapproval rating, tying him for the second highest disapproval rating of any governor.
On July 3, after 17 months of negotiation, Service Employees International Union (SEIU) healthcare workers walked out of five HealthBridge Management nursing homes. The dispute, over salary and pension benefits, has led to a dispute that has the SEIU accused of illegal activity and goes all the way to the office of Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy.
