The Power of Reid, McConnell, Boehner, and Pelosi

Power and Democracy 111:  Committees and Chairmen In order to get power and retain it, it is necessary to love power; but love of power is not connected with goodness but with qualities that are the opposite of goodness, such as pride, cunning, and cruelty. – Leo Tolstoy

MA Senate Race: Beyond Health Care

It's important to remember that the results of yesterday's election in Massachusetts have consequences beyond the immediate threat of ObamaCare. New Jersey: Go Vote.

I got to spend part of my weekend in Jackson, New Jersey. It was a blast. You people up in NJ are crazy in the best possible way. I got there around lunch time and it was freezing and drizzling, but people still showed up. I think I bring inclement weather with me everywhere I go - I've spoken at just two Tea Parties that didn't get rained on - it was over 100 both times. Both are inconvenient. The amazing thing is that nobody leaves. And that was the case on Sunday. The people of Jackson were fantastic. Everyone was SO nice.
