North Carolina Representative Connie Wilson speaks at Mitchell County CSE Chapter

Representative Connie Wilson, Chairman of the Commerce Committee in the State House spoke Tuesday evening in Bakersville, North Carolina before a crowd of 50 activists. She addressed the need for economic development in rural Northwest North Carolina and praised NC CSE for their efforts to fight against tax increases.

Representative Wilson was one of the keynote speakers in Raleigh this year for CSE Day and voted against tax increases in the budget. She challenged CSE members to stay involved in legislative process.

Mitchell County received the E.A. Morris award in 2003 as the Outstanding County Chapter for North Carolina. Pictured beside Representative Wilson is Roger Wilson, co-ordinator of the Mitchell County Chapter.
