On behalf of FreedomWorks’ activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and senators and ask them to cosponsor the Keystone XL Pipeline Construction and Jobs Preservation Act, H.R. 684 and S. 171, introduced by Sen. Steve Daines (R-Mont.) and Rep. Kelly Armstrong (R-N.D.). Quite simply, this legislation would authorize construction and operation of the planned XL portion of the Keystone pipeline and would remove the requirement for a presidential permit.
On Inauguration Day, President Joe Biden wasted no time in advancing his regulatory agenda by signing a series of 17 Executive Orders. Amidst this deluge, the Biden administration revoked a crucial construction permit for the Keystone XL pipeline, leaving the $8 billion project dead in the water. In doing so, President Biden sent a very clear signal that his administration’s climate agenda aims to target the oil and gas industry like never before.
Late last week, the Obama administration announced a month-long push back for second-year Obamacare enrollments, placing the enrollment date conveniently past election day. With that move, the administration will successfully push back the horrifying optics of disastrous rate hikes, lending a hand to Democrats up for election in 2014.
President Obama recently gave a wide-ranging interview to the New York Times, in which the topic of the Keystone pipeline was rehashed. In it, the President mocked the idea that Keystone could be a job creator as Republicans have touted, because those jobs would be temporary construction positions.
Last week, Nebraska Gov. Dave Heineman approved a reroute of the oft-disputed Keystone XL pipeline. Previously, the pipeline was slated to cross not only the Nebraska Sandhills but the Ogallala aquifer as well, two areas that had environmentalist groups ready for war. The resultant pressure caused Gov. Heineman to withdraw his support for the pipeline as planned, and President Obama denied the required Presidential Permit in January 2012.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but we're still a nation desperately in need of jobs and revenue, right?A new study commissioned by supporters of the controversial Keystone XL oil pipeline says Nebraska could reap close to $2 billion in economic benefits if the project were built.
The time for politics has passed, or so you would think.Throughout his campaign, President Obama promised to make a decision on the Keystone XL pipeline after the election was over. Nearly six weeks later however, despite facts that reveal the project to be a bipartisan, pro-energy, pro-growth pursuit, the President has still failed to address the issue.
Earlier this month, a bipartisan group of senators asked President Obama to consider issuing a permit for the Keystone XL Pipeline. These nine Democrat senators and nine Republicans asked Obama to approve the pipeline to help create jobs and reduce our dependence on foreign oil.
