Republicans Are Still Swamp Critters

Once again, the D.C. swamp pulled out another win last night. Republican Utah Sen. Mike Lee’s amendment to the 2022 Continuing Resolution (CR) would have defunded vaccine mandates. It failed 46-47. Democrats were missing three votes, but Republicans were missing four. What happened here?

Support the CBO Show Your Work Act, S. 793

On behalf of FreedomWorks’ activist community, I urge you to contact your senators and ask them to cosponsor the CBO Show Your Work Act, S. 793. Introduced by Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah), the CBO Show Your Work Act would require the Congressional Budget Office to make its models and data available to Congress and the public.

We offer resources for you to get involved in the rulemaking process to hold unelected bureaucrats accountable and occasionally offer praise in the event they have a good impulse. We will also highlight the incredible work our activists have done to advance the principles of smaller government, lower taxes, free markets, personal liberty, and the rule of law. For more ways to get involved and stay informed, check the links at the bottom of this post.

Hope on the Horizon for FISA Reform

On March 15, the authority for Section 215 of the USA PATRIOT Act formally expired. This is one of the provisions that spawned the Edward Snowden leaks back in 2013 and drew the American people’s attention to the scope of abuses perpetrated by the intelligence community.
