Support the Let States Cut Taxes Act, H.R. 2002 and S. 730, and the State Fiscal Flexibility Act, S. 743

On behalf of FreedomWorks’ activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and senators and ask them to cosponsor the Let States Cut Taxes Act, H.R. 2002 and S. 730, introduced by Rep. Dan Bishop (R-N.C.) and Sen. Mike Braun (R-Ind.), and the State Fiscal Flexibility Act, S. 743 introduced by Sen. Mike Crapo (R-Idaho). These bills would eliminate a provision in the “American Rescue Plan” Act, the most recent $1.9 trillion hyper-partisan COVID-19 “relief” package, that bans states from cutting taxes until 2024 if they take any funds from the package.

Support the Do Your Job Act, H.R. 1902

On behalf of FreedomWorks’ activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and ask him or her to cosponsor the Do Your Job Act, H.R. 1902, introduced by Rep. Dan Bishop (R-N.C.). This bill would end the practice of “official time,” which currently allows federal employees to perform outside union business while on the clock -- and on the taxpayers’ dime.

Support the Earmark Elimination Act, H.R. 1086

On behalf of our activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and ask him or her to cosponsor the Earmark Elimination Act, H.R. 1086, introduced by Reps. Ralph Norman (R-S.C.) and Ted Budd (R-N.C.). The bill would make permanent the temporary moratorium on congressional earmarks put into effect in 2010 by creating a point of order against any provision within a bill that matches the definition of an earmark.

Support the Federal Reserve Sunshine Act, H.R. 8007

On behalf of FreedomWorks’ activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and ask him or her to cosponsor the Federal Reserve Sunshine Act, H.R. 8007, introduced by Reps. Mark Green (R-T.N.) and Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii). This bill would simply eliminate the provision of the recently-passed Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act that allows the Federal Reserve to hold closed-door meetings about its newly-created $450 billion bailout fund, which is more vital now than ever as we continue to observe the alarming lack of transparency that has come along with the Federal Reserve’s new authorities.
