Greensboro News-Record: N.C. House votes down smoking ban

Papers are reporting: "The state House rejected a measure that would have outlawed smoking in restaurants and allowed local governments to set their own local smoking laws.

The vote Wednesday afternoon was 55-61.

Guilford County Reps. Alma Adams, Pricey Harrison and Maggie Jeffus, all Democrats, supported the bill.

The other three Guilford representatives — Democrat Earl Jones and Republicans John Blust and Laura Wiley — voted against the measure.   "
