Last night, the freedom movement won some important electoral primary victories. In Georgia’s 11th District, Barry Loudermilk, a true champion of limited government, education freedom and market-centered health care solutions, came in first in his race with 39 percent of the vote, and is headed to the July 22nd runoff. In Georgia’s First District, Dr. Bob Johnson also made his way to the July runoff.
Holly Fraser, a fifteen year old from Rhode Island, has done an amazing job in recruiting 35 teenagers from 7 states to help Matt Bevin win the Senate race in Kentucky. These amazing teenagers have knocked on over 2,500 homes in their first two days on the ground. They have also made over 1,500 phone calls to potential voters.
Much was made of the New York Times article earlier this month that detailed how Karl Rove has created an offshoot of American Crossroads to fund candidates in Republican primaries that are, in the estimation of well heeled GOP donors, "more electable". At Breitbart.com, Ben Shapiro described it as Rove having declared war on the Tea Party.
FreedomWorks Foundation, American Legislative Exchange Council, Tea Party Patriots and Committee to Unleash Prosperity in partnership with a coalition of conservative organizations and prominent individuals, launched the Save Our Country Task Force.
