On April 9th, 2021, President Biden signed an Executive Order that established a Presidential Commission on the Supreme Court of the United States (the Commission). Under Section 3 of the order, the Commission will produce a report to President Biden that among other things provides an analysis of the key arguments in the current debate for and against Supreme Court (Court) reform. The report must be provided to President Biden by November 15th, 2021.
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Following the passage - by an overwhelming bipartisan majority - of an amendment sponsored by Sens. Mike Lee (R-Utah) and Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) to increase the involvement of amici curiae in FISA court proceedings and to require that the government disclose exculpatory evidence in such proceedings, Jason Pye, FreedomWorks' Vice President of Legislative Affairs, commented:

A common sentiment throughout the two-day event was gratitude for the truly bipartisan nature of the effort to restructure our justice system. Hopeful people are coming together from across party lines, as is rarely seen in Congress, to restore liberty and save billions in taxpayer dollars.
On June 2nd, the House of Representatives Committee on oversight and Government Reform began a hearing on the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). The hearing spanned two days and was aided by three panels of witnesses. In effort to ensure transparency, the congressmen assessed how government agencies currently view FOIA and deal with requests for information. My takeaway? FOIA is a joke and government agencies are the worst.
