You may have heard the oft-repeated narrative that concerns over voting by mail are baseless. This is a dangerous narrative that puts Americans’ votes at risk and undermines public confidence in how we conduct elections.
Marc Thiessen of the American Enterprise Institute has accurately questioned the efficacy of the Postal Service to properly distribute and collect ballots by millions of voters this November. The problems are many. Thiessen opines, “There is plenty of evidence that mail-in voting has the unintended consequence of disenfranchising of millions of eligible voters.”
President Obama correctly stated in a State of the Union speech, “Surely we can agree that the right to vote is sacred…” and he called for more opportunities for citizens to vote. Dr. Marshall Foster writes that voting has been considered sacred since the early puritans arrived in America and had a strong belief that voting was a mandate from God:
The North Carolina Board of Elections found just over 35,000 possible cases of voter fraud in the state. If verified, the findings will provide proof of significant voter fraud and demonstrate the need for voter ID laws to protect the integrity of our elections.
You'll find plenty of Democrats who say that cleaning voter rolls of felons and the dead is unfair because it may disenfranchise people from voting (they count on that graveyard vote to win close races) and they are the first to stand up and say that voter fraud isn't really a problem anyway. Well, it seems that the Vice President's niece may be an example of why that isn't true.
Four Democrats involved in an upstate New York voter fraud scandal were sentenced yesterday for their respective roles, receiving punishments ranging from hundreds of hours of community service, to jail time. The group consisted of a former city clerk, an ex-City Councilman, a Democrat operative, and a Committeeman who a year ago had declared ballot forgery in upstate New York to be "a normal political tactic".
Despite what the media would have you believe, voter fraud and intimidation is often used as a tool by the Democratic Party machine. Last night I was tipped off to a disturbing incident, which occurred in Dallas, Texas. I assure you this is not an isolated case.
Voter fraud is a contentious issue of late; liberals swear it is a myth propagated by evil racist conservatives. We know better. Most on the right are aware of the voter fraud issue but many have little to no idea how to combat or report violations; consider this your crash course.
I was a poll watcher in Bridgeport, CT in 2010. For those of you not familiar, the Mayor of Bridgeport set off a recent firestorm by promising to swing the 2012 U.S. Senate election for Democrat Chris Murphy. How can he do that? Let me tell you what happened in 2010.
