Hillary’s solution to our Energy woes: More Taxes

Hillary Clinton is up to her old tricks. According to a Washington Times report, she seeks a two year tax on all oil profits as a means to funding energy research:

“We need to reform our energy taxes so that large oil companies who reap huge benefits from unexpectedly high energy prices over the next two years will be required to pay a portion of their profits into the strategic energy fund,” the New York Democrat said while outlining her energy plan at the National Press Club.

Experts and opponents note the toll these measures would take on our economy as well as energy research. It must also be noted her past aversions to any domestic oil exploration. Once again it seems Sen. Clinton’s plan is not to seek a solution but to throw more taxes at our problems.
