House Democrats Finally Get Something Right

Last week, 72 House Democrats wrote a letter to Julius Genachowski, chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) urging him to proceed with extreme caution on his net neutrality proposals. The Democrats finally got something right, as the proposals will serve to stifle investment in a growing and critical sector of the economy; efforts to expand broadband networks will likely be hindered due to these new and unnecessary regulations.  Expanding the government’s role in the internet is a bad idea, and will cause more problems than the FCC seeks to solve.

Those people interested in protecting the internet from this dangerous intervention should go to the FCC’s website on the issue and get involved.
