Key Vote NO on the CR/Minibus, H.R. 6157

On behalf of our activist community, I urge you to contact your senators and ask them to vote NO on the Defense, Labor, and Health and Human Services (HHS) minibus, H.R. 6157. The bill includes a short-term continuing resolution (CR) for remaining appropriations bills, continuing the excessive spending under the Bipartisan Budget Act, which was passed by Congress in February and spent nearly $300 billion more than the previously established spending caps.

This does not mean Congress and the Trump administration should ignore what WHO is up to in the realm of tobacco regulation, particularly given America’s status as the largest contributor to the international body.

The Fiscal Disaster Facing the United States Is Much Worse Than It Appears

Back in April, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) released regular budget outlook for the current year and 2019 through 2028 budget window. If Republicans Care About America's Kids and Grandkids, Vote to Stop Spending When It Matters Most

In February, Congress passed the Bipartisan Budget Act, H.R. 1892, which busted the discretionary spending caps by nearly $300 billion over two years, increasing them to $1.291 trillion for FY 2018 and $1.321 trillion for FY 2019. The budget passed the Senate by a vote of 71 to 28 and the House by a vote of 240 to 186. Sixteen Republicans voted against the budget in the Senate and 67 in the House.
