Key Vote NO on the Nomination of Neera Tanden for Director of the Office of Management and Budget

On behalf of FreedomWorks activists nationwide, I urge you to contact your senators and ask them to vote NO on confirmation of Neera Tanden as the Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Her outward support for government-controlled universal healthcare, complete disregard for any semblance of fiscal sanity, and lavish praise for the Green New Deal have no place at the center of policymaking in an American presidential administration.

Key Vote NO on President Biden’s Partisan Budget Resolution, S.Con.Res. 5

On behalf of our activist community, I urge you to contact your senators and ask them to vote NO on President Joe Biden’s blatantly partisan budget, S.Con.Res. 5. The entire purpose of S.Con.Res. 5 is to force legislation through Congress on party lines. Although the nascent Biden administration has had a message of “unity,” the use of budget reconciliation means that bipartisanship is being cast aside to advance a partisan agenda.

Key Vote NO on the National Defense Authorization Act, H.R. 6395

On behalf of our activist community, I urge you to contact your senators and ask them to vote NO on the conference report for the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for FY 2021, H.R. 6395. The $740.5 billion NDAA for FY 2021 fails to deliver any meaningful reforms and perpetuates the status quo in some areas. It also includes big government power grabs, places burdens on small businesses, and expands the federal bureaucracy.

Key Vote NO on the Heroes Act 2.0, H.Amdt. to S.Amdt. to H.R. 925

On behalf of our activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and ask him or her to vote NO on House Democrats’ new Heroes Act 2.0, the H.Amdt. to the S.Amdt. to H.R. 925. The vote on the Heroes Act 2.0 comes at a time when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) have refused to negotiate in good-faith with the White House on another COVID-19 relief package. Although Pelosi and Schumer have lowered their top-line price tag for another COVID-19 relief package to $2.2 trillion from $3.5 trillion, the $2.2 trillion demand is still nearly $1 trillion higher than what President Trump will sign.

Biden's Tax Plan Would Make America Less Prosperous

If you used your free time on Saturday or Sunday to watch football, you may have seen an ad run by Joe Biden’s campaign in which the narrator says that Biden won’t raise taxes on anyone earning less than $400,000 annually. The ad perpetuates the myth that the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act was a “tax cut for the rich.” As Chris Edwards of the Cato Institute notes, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act “provided the largest percentage tax cuts to the bottom two quintiles—that is, the bottom 40 percent of U.S. households.”

The Growth of Federal Spending and Deficit Is a Serious Risk to America's Long-Term Prosperity

Earlier this month, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) released an updated budget and economic outlook for the next ten years. The report provided projections on federal spending, revenues, and economic growth. The update was needed because the report that the CBO released in January was out of date because of the explosion of spending in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and related partial economic shutdowns across the country.
