The "I told you so" hits just keep on coming.

As a professional in the oil and gas industry, Susan Fakharzadeh was looking for fun a way to engage more women in issues related to energy, especially fracking. Her goal was “to take out some of the volatility associated with the word...I wanted to take back the word ‘frack’ so that it wasn’t always associated with something negative.” Thus, Chicks Dig Fracking was born.

The NSA is out of control. Recent leaks have revealed that the U.S. government is spying on all of us. This is a direct violation of our 4th amendment right against unreasonable government searches. Government officials are reading our emails, looking through our Internet search history, and listening in on our phone calls *without* a warrant.

As one of our millions of FreedomWorks members nationwide, I urge you to contact your representative and tell them to support H.R. 3826 in the House and contact your senators and tell them to support its companion bill, S. 1905, in the Senate. These companion bills will go a long way in curbing the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) radical war on affordable and reliable energy from fossil fuels.

The Renewable Fuels Standard (RFS) is a federal mandate that requires gradually increasing amounts of biofuels such as corn-based ethanol and other experimental biofuels to be blended into the nation's fuel supply.

Fracking is one of those issues that gets people really riled up, and almost always, the most prominent and vocal detractors have no idea what they’re talking about. Those who study the issue and follow the science tend to support fracking. Recently, we have been given another reason to do so: the very water which fracktivists claim is harmed by fracking. 

Next year is due to be Senator Max Baucus’s last year in Washington, solidified by his recent nomination to be the next ambassador to China; and it’s no secret that the Democrat from Montana has his sights on overhauling the tax code before he leaves. With the business of 2013 quickly coming to a close, details have begun to emerge as to what exactly the Senator is cooking up. Some of the details leaked so far specify how the Senator’s plan changes the way that the tax code regulates the energy industry.

Celebrity “activists” are everywhere and they love to tell us how to live our lives. They're often oblivious to the effects of bad policy on real people, and in this case, why would they care about providing affordable energy to the masses? They can afford skyrocketing electricity rates, why can't you?  Yes, the latest round of celebrity do-gooders have plenty of opinions about fracking. Also true to form, these celebrity fracktivists are terribly misinformed.
