What do the original community organizer for freedom and President Obama’s former Green Jobs Czar have in common? Very little, it turns out.
But that didn’t stop Matt Kibbe from thinking about both of them at a recent FreedomWorks event in Philadelphia. After all, he explained, it was Samuel Adams and his Sons of Liberty (the very first tea partiers) who organized demonstrations on the streets of Philadelphia to shore up support for the Declaration of Independence when delegates from New York began to get cold feet during the Second Continental Congress.
This time it was FreedomWorks helping to organize and train activists fighting for liberty against an out-of-control and despotic central government; no doubt Sam Adams would be proud.
Even better, Kibbe noted, it “really pisses Van Jones off.”
